Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. has been retained by Eco:Logic and the Truckee Meadows Water Authority to provide geotechnical consultation, materials testing and inspection during construction of the Glendale Avenue Water Supply Improvement Project in Reno, Nevada. This project, located in the Truckee River, will include foundation grouting of the Truckee River streambed within the project limits, as well as the construction of a new Portland cement concrete intake structure and fish ladder. Work is scheduled to begin in July 2010.
Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. has been retained by Carson City Public Works Department to perform materials testing and inspection during construction of the East Washington Street CDBG Pedestrian Improvements project. This project will involve the removal and replacement of Portland cement concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, as well as the installation of storm drain culvert and asphalt concrete pavement. Work is scheduled to begin in April 2010.
Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. has just been awarded a contract from the University of Nevada, Reno to perform a geotechnical investigation for an expansion planned for the structures laboratory at the Reno campus. In addition, Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. will perform materials testing and inspection during construction of the steel-frame structure and concrete mat foundation, as well as associated asphalt concrete parking and storage areas. Work is scheduled to begin in April 2010.
Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. has just obtained certification for materials testing of soils, aggregates, hot-mix asphalt and Portland cement concrete from the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans). Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. has contracted by Ormat, Inc. to perform a geotechnical investigation, perform laboratory testing and geotechnical engineering analyses in order to develop a geotechnical report for a proposed geothermal power plant in Jersey Valley, south of Battle Mountain, Nevada. Work is scheduled to begin in December 2009.
