Construction Testing and Inspection
Prior to beginning testing and inspection services, Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. evaluates the project to select the project team. We feel it is critical to match project requirements, including budget, with the specific expertise and certifications of our inspection and testing staff. Plans and specifications are thoroughly reviewed by our laboratory and inspection staff so the entire team is familiar with the project and can identify any potential construction difficulties. Our geotechnical/geological engineering staff is available at all times to support constructions operations, through providing quick, accurate, and cost-effective solutions to construction issues.
Daily field reports are completed by technicians and inspectors, and are submitted to the project manager for review and certification. The project manager reviews these reports for thoroughness and accuracy to ensure their usefulness as a record of construction activities.
Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. personnel are familiar with local contractors, various materials plants and supplied materials. We also possess extensive knowledge of general construction methods practiced in Nevada and California, and all local construction specifications. All materials sampling is performed by NAQTC-certified staff members that are well versed in proper sampling technique. Sampling is done in strict accordance with applicable ASTM and Orange Book standards.
Construction Inspection & Testing Services:
- Engineer-of-Record Services
- Inspection, testing, and sampling of construction materials, including native subgrade, aggregate base, pipe bedding, structural backfill, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials by NAQTC inspectors
- Inspection, testing, and sampling of construction materials from source plants and plant calibration
- Special inspection provided by ICC-certified inspectors with capabilities of inspecting reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, reinforced masonry, structural steel and welding, high- strength bolting, roofing, nailing, and general building construction
- Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) services including ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and radiographic testing and inspection of structural steel and welding
- Quality Assurance Testing and Inspection
