Materials Testing
The Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. laboratory staff has over 25 years experience in materials testing. Our lab technicians are NAQTC certified for embankment and base, asphalt, and aggregate testing. They are also ACI Grade 1 Field Testing Technicians and ACI Grade 1 and Grade 2 Concrete Laboratory Testing Technicians. Our laboratory provides complete soils, concrete, and asphalt concrete testing. Our laboratory staff has extensive experience in quality control testing and plant optimization for aggregate and asphalt plants. We can also equip mobile laboratories for remote projects or for plant quality control testing. Our facility is AASHTO certified in soils, hot mix asphalt aggregate, and Portland cement concrete aggregate. Our laboratory and field technicians possess a thorough understanding of ASTM, AASHTO, and NDOT testing policies and procedures. A copy of our current AASHTO certification can be provided upon request.
Black Eagle Consulting, Inc. prides itself on being able to provide accurate laboratory test results within 24 to 48 hours, as appropriate to allow construction to proceed in a timely manner. Asphalt hot mix properties can be available to the owner and contractor at the beginning of the day following asphalt concrete placement to allow any required hot plant modifications to be made, for maximum specification compliance. Our testing equipment and personnel are typically available within 4 to 24 hours notice, depending on the size of the project and the time requirements on site.
